KARLIE CARPENTIER ROSIN - ABOUT ME 
Hi! I'm Karlie Carpentier Rosin, a published & licensed artist born and raised in Montreal, and currently living in Vancouver, British Columbia. I'm a painter and illustrator and I love to channel my creativity through many different mediums. I'm known to use vibrant colours and creates using different traditional techniques including acrylic paint, watercolours, markers and coloured pencils, as well as digital painting and I especially love to mix digital and traditional mediums.

You can usually find little details and elements that were mindfully added in my artwork, creating an extra level of playfulness- such as iridescent paints, or  textures and various elements sometimes taken from the very environment in which it was painted. I love to observe the interaction of colour and light with various materials and textures, and I find inspiration everywhere I go- through my environment and experiences. Subjects such as landscapes, animals, plant life, space, fashion, design,  behaviours and current events really inspire me. I've also been known to do live painting at events to share my creative process and add an extra level of entertainment to an event.

I've also worked full time in the Visual Effects (VFX) Industry on blockbuster movies as a Matte Painter (Environment Artist)- digitally painting in landscapes, cityscapes and general visual enhancements. I've had the chance to work on movies such as Godzilla 2, Justice League, The Mummy, Fantastic Beasts, Suicide Squad - to name a few.

I've been creating art since I was able to pick up a pencil, and started actually learning it when my mom enrolled me in my first art classes when I was just over 4 years old. For many years, I would create with various mediums such as oils, acrylics, watercolours, markers, pencils to name a few. I then continued with the beauties of digital art with Illustrator and Photoshop, and many other Software, when I was studying Illustration and Design in College, and then in computer graphics for VFX in University, where I learned so many more skills. Since then, I’ve been developing my techniques in both traditional and digital mediums, and finding creative ways to mix both.

I also have a passion for Digital Marketing, and received my certificate in Digital Marketing in 2017 from Brainstation here in Vancouver, BC. With my artistic skills, creative mind, and passion for digital marketing, I've found a path in mixing both by blogging about my art and lifestyle as well as other things I enjoy such as travel and fashion- which all comes together working with local and international brands as an Artist and Content Creator.
